Special Education

The Learning Center has created special classes in our educational continuum to address the needs of those students presenting with a dual diagnosis of mental health issues in addition to developmental disabilities.  We combine our trauma informed treatment approach with our commitment to build relationships with each student to provide a supportive environment where their individual educational needs can be met.  In addition, the staff works to foster the independence of the students through daily living skills and the development of appropriate social skills.  Many of the students in these classes require additional services such as speech and occupational therapy..
