Spring Banquet 2005

Close to 300 friends, supporters, volunteers, employees and residents gathered at the recent Third Annual Spring Banquet. This special event, held at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Cromwell, featured:

• a moving talk by former resident Dan Riggott and the boy he mentors, Sean (pictured top right).

• an inspiring keynote address by Rev. Donn Engebretson, Vice President of the Evangelical Covenant Church (pictured bottom right).

• a stirring performance by The Children's Home African Drumming Team (pictured below).

• recognition of all volunteers at The Children's Home for their sacrificial work on behalf of the youngsters. Special notice was given to two outstanding volunteers - Don Peterson, chairman of all three benefit golf tournaments for the Home, and Paul Schuetz, a mentor with numerous kids for the last ten years.
